I looked it up...............and honestly I'm a F150 lover not a hater but that's a big trailer for a 150 You can do it but several caveats. It weighs 7545 lbs dry and empty. You can carry up to 800lbs of fresh water, I would not. Keep the holding tanks empty they hold another 640 lbs full. That eliminates 1440 lbs to worry about. Going to carry a couple of 600lbs 4x4s? Use care where you fasten them down, it will effect the tongue weight. You'll need to be really careful what you put in it. Hindsight is always 20/20.

I am considering an F250. I know it will be close to max weight. I am not sure if I am willing to take a chance. Thanks for your input.

If you look at a 250 on the dealer's lot check the payload sticker on the door jam. It's a yellow sticker, you're looking for a payload to start at 3000lbs to give some cushion.

If you are looking at a gas F250, you are probably gonna want to look for one with 4.30 gears for a 12700 lb trailer.

I have a 4.30 6.2 and have towed 12k with it. It did a good job.

How do you like your 6.2? I was thinking about maybe getting one of those instead of the 6.7. They are $10K cheaper. Does it have a lot of torque starting from a light?

I really like my 6.2. It has plenty of power from a start, both empty and pulling a load.

you are so wrong on so many levels and you're not reading what others are posting.
there's NO WAY, you are spec'd to tow 18,400lbs. MAYBE THE GCWR is that amount but NOT towing capacity.
you've paid no attention to those telling you that the 500lbs limit for ON THE BUMPER. If you had a WDH, it would max out at 1320lbs.
you need to STOP believing the dealer and listen to what other owners here are telling you.

and you're not looking at the Payload Sticker correctly.
look for the yellow Tires and Loading sticker on the driver's door. It'll say "Occupants and cargo should not exceed xxxxlbs."
tell us what that number is.
