Rear squating
I apologize if this has already been discussed. I'm new to the forum and I didn't find a thread on it. I have a 2016 FX4, 3.5, leveling kit, tow package etc. etc. When I'm towing my boat or enclosed trailer, which aren't really that tongue heavy, the rear of the truck squats about an inch or two. I'm looking for an inexpensive correction. Don't really like the idea of air bags. Seems like a lot of expense and hassle. Surely someone has some insight on this one.

The only reason the rear "squats" is because the front is raised/leveled. If it looks leveled unloaded, then logically, adding weight to the rear will lower the rear. Seems Ford had an idea about this and made the back slightly higher than the front. Then, when you put stuff in the bed of the truck or on the hitch it would sit level.
My point, leave the front stock and it'll look right while towing. Loft the front, the back end will look low towing.

You do know that the ford 150s suspension is supported to be compressed buy an inch or 2 when trailer is attached to perform properly. So why are you screwing up what the ford engineers purposely did to make your truck perform properly when towing?

I have AirRide 5000's on one of my trucks, and I just use them from time to time when hauling gravel, sand or other very heavy items.
I have a pair of Schraeder valves in my license plate and use an air tank from Harbor Freight to add a couple of puffs. Otherwise, you don't know they're there when I deflate them.
Sure solves squatting. They were easy to put on too.

That is why they design trucks to sit 2-3" higher in the back. With a load they sit level. That is why I don't level the front of a truck. I don't like the headlights pointing at the sky when loaded. Raise the rear of the truck to match the front to solve the problem.
