From recent threads posted in the Late Model forum, I'm sure you could order a '19 XL or XLT SCrew with the HDPP frame option and achieve that payload rating. Scuttlebutt says the HDPP frame will ONLY be available at those 2 trim levels and not at the higher trims.

 

 

Step 1: Stop trying to "find one", Instead, order one. Dealers rarely stock them (as you've learned), so they are as rare as hen's teeth or Unicorns.

Step 2: Order the XLT trim with the heavy duty payload package (HDPP). Also add the max tow pkg, which requires the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. You probably won't "find" one in stock, because of low demand. But you can get one if you're patient enough to order one and wait for delivery.

(If you cannot live without the antiquated non-turbo V8 engine, then you can still order HDPP but not max tow.) Without max tow, you must also order the regular tow pkg, the big gas tank and trailer brake controller (ITBC) as options. They are included with max tow but not with the regular tow pkg. And yes, you want both the big gas tank and the ITBC.

Step 3. To maximize payload capacity, DO NOT order any heavy options, such as cab steps or tailgate step or bed liner or 4x4.

Assuming you're bright enough to want the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, then here's one I built on Ford.com build&price:

4x4 is an option with HDPP, but it reduces payload by about 400 pounds.
Running boards and tailgate steps are options, but reduce payload.
PowerScope tow mirrors are an option, but for some reason don't show up on Ford build&price. But I ordered them on my 2019 so I know they're available. DO NOT allow your new tow vehicle to be built without tow mirrors.

Step 4: Plan to wait at least two months for delivery.

4x4 weighs about 400 pounds more than 4x2, with the same GVWR, so abut 400 pounds less payload capacity than 4x2.

Navigation radio is an option

When looking, the 2WD 157" with the standard tank were netting over 2k. I wanted the 145", with 36 gallon and 4x4. Wound up just over 1800.
