2018 F150 SC 3.5 Supecab REG BOX 4X4 MAX TOW
I have Timbrens on mine. Sumos and RAS are good options as well if you prefer a passive setup that requires no adjustment and no maintenance. When it come time for new shocks I will go with factory replacement (HDPP has a different shock), Bilstein 4600 or Ranchos Proce will be a factor.

Sometimes that 480 pounds makes all the difference. I may carry 1000 pounds between tools, rack and boxes as a baseline. I still have 1500 available instead of 1000. That's 50% more.

With the right trailer you don't. As always, the more cargo capacity you have, the heavier the trailer you can pull.

OK, sorry if this has been covered I'm new and from Ontario Canada. I know about the F150 HDPP I am considering one for a Truck Camper, some of these truck campers can weigh less than 1800 lbs, I know everyone is saying get a Super Duty bla bla. A SuperDuty is an option but technically the HDPP has around 2700 lbs payload with the Crew and the 6.5 bed 3.5 EchoBoost. Check this link. https://fordauthority.com/2021/06/he...21-ford-f-150/. Does anyone know or know of a reputable dealership in Ontario Canada that I can talk to so I can understand how the added options affect the final payload number.

My experience - good luck finding anybody in a dealership that can provide sensible knowledge. Those I talked to do not even seem to know HDPP exists.
Best thing is read forums and go and look. I camped here in Ontario with a couple with HDPP towing a good sized fifth wheel.
Most relative information is the sticker on "B" pillar in door opening.
Theirs was F150 3.5 4X4 Crew and 6.5 box - payload was 2460#
They did mention that when not towing it could be a rough ride - reduce by riders weight and extra stuff like food, clothes, water to have camper weight limit.
Last thing they mentioned uses more fuel.
I have F150 3.5 4X4 SC and 6.5 box max tow - payload 1920#

Can't help you with a dealership but here is a link to the full 2021 F150 specs. Many individual option weights - even down to different tire selections - can be found starting on/about page 30.

There are also several dozen pages in the 'Post Your Payload' thread that you can peruse to get some real world ideas. Many of the posts there are models equipped with HDPP.

Is the HDPP an actual package? Should it be listed on the sticker?

I am looking to pull a TT with a 8500 GVWR and I'd like to try and get the hdpp. Thanks in advance.
The HDPP trucks are only slightly less scarce than Unicorns. All I can say is good luck. Way back in 2014, I wanted a new HDPP truck. My dealer finally found 5 at 3 dealers in PA. I live in central Virginia.

For truck campers, there's more to it than just the weight. They are top heavy, so handling factors in. Reason it is suggested for a Superduty is that it will be more stable than the HDPP as it is wider with a stiffer suspension, and more capable, especially if optioned with the camper package, than the F-150 will be. Something to keep in mind when shopping. If the camper is a low profile type with a lift for the roof, then an HDPP will work just fine, but if its tall, might want to consider an F-250 instead.

On the West Coast, the pop-up truck campers made by Four Wheel Campers are quite popular. Their best-selling model is the "Hawk", which comes in around 1500 lbs (dry weight) even with lots of options. An F-150 HDPP is considered a great platform for it. For example, see this review:
.. we built a 2017 Ford F150 XL 6.5 ft bed, 4×4, Super Crew, 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with 2,650 pounds of payload capacity. To reach this impressive half-ton payload number, the truck required Ford’s Heavy Duty Payload Package with 18-inch wheels. Even with some luxury options carefully added, this truck would be a fantastic payload match for a loaded Four Wheel Camper Hawk.
Pop-up campers are probably more difficult to keep warm than traditional hard-sided campers, and that might be a consideration in Ontario. Four Wheel Campers do have options for propane furnaces, and also "thermal pack" insulation for the soft-wall part.

Check out Bishs RV, they have a lot of different models to look at. I think I saw one that is low profile and rises up with hard walls.
