Default Post Your Payload

While I've only been a poster here for a relatively short time (November 2015), I've already seen bunches and bunches of questions on Towing and Payload. A crucial missing piece of information when configuring a new truck is how payload is affected based on engine, trim level, and option selection.

I figured it might make sense to have a thread where folks can post their actual configurations and resulting as delivered payload capability (i.e. the value found on the yellow sticker).

Data in spreadsheet format: http://1drv.ms/1oD55i3

So, I will start it out with mine:

No, my GWVR is 7050#, it is rated to tow 10,500# (as posted in Ford's towing guide), and yes my payload is 2049#.

I guess it would be good if people could also post the supposed tow-rating.

Thanks, I hope we can build a bit of a database of known values to give folks a little more of a guide besides the numbers posted in Ford's marketing brochures.

Added tow rating although those are readily available while payload changes depending on what options and trim level you have (and that is the value I see in this exercise).

You probably should edit your first post and add what everyone else lists so it is in one place (kind of like the 1/4 mile time posts in the 2011-2014 engine subsection). If you do, I would break it down by generation and cab type though to make it easier to find a similar configuration.

Great idea. For now, I'm editing the first post. Maybe if I wasn't busy grading my students assignments all day and night I would put up a web site w/database to allow folks to post. For now I will do it manually.

I added the 4x2 info to mine. That adds a couple hundred pounds payload:
Brulaz 2011 FX2 4x2 SCAB 6.5' 3.5LEB/3.73 7500# 2027# 11300# MaxTow

Nice to see that with the new Al body I could have the about same truck in a 4x4 with the same payload.

Thanks for the info, I've added yours to the list and also put in another column for 4x4 vs 4x2.

For the earlier posts, I've updated where it was clear (4x4/4x2 or put ??? where I can't tell).
