Took the through the car wash today. Not my favorite thing to do as washing by hand always seems to be better and causes less scratches. Really focused on the rims as they are got a ton of brake dust built up which I hate letting that happen. Used some tire dressing I got from a relative. Didn't make the tires look like a deep black color like I hoped but definitely removed the brake dust from the white lettering which brightened them up...
Never saw that 3M stuff before. If you're after deep black use tar and bug remover prior your tire dressing application. Spray it on and use a stiff brush to work it in on the tire. Wipe with a cloth then the dressing. I've been getting good results with Meguiars Hyper Dressing lately. The OG stuff I've been using went up to $50/qt and I refuse to pay that much for tire dressing although it is the best I ever used.

A relative of ours used to work at 3M so he would get these sort of things and would give them to us. We've never ran out of electrical tape LOL.
I'm not after the super dark look but just make them look a little better which it did. Thats a good tip to know though!
Just got off the phone with the mechanic. 3 of the ignition coils are stuck on so those will need to be replaced and 2 spark plugs are putting up a fight. In total only 1 (one) spark plug will be replaced today. I'll have to take the truck in later next week for round 2 and it'll be on the shop for 2 days most likely!
I do my own plug changes and at 20000 mile specifically to void such problems. A dab of dielectric grease on the plug insulators goes a long way to prevent the boots from sealing tight and causing trouble removing.KM

Yeah I'd do them myself but with the extended warranty it complicates maintenance. If I do it myself I have to do an essay explaining all that I did and the steps I took. I spoke to my mechanic and he said there wasn't any dielectric grease on them. I also bought the truck used with 121k on it so it was 20k over the service interval.
