Yup they have. Either by using an O2 sim or deleting the code out of the ECU so it wouldn't throw the CEL. Sadly the brands got smart with their latest engine mgmt CPUs but hopefully one day we'll get back to being one step ahead. I also know a guy with an '08 Cummins that unbolted all the particulate filters, fooled the computer using resisters in place of the sensors and is enjoying a 5mpg increase...although the baby seal population might've declined slightly...

Like any software. It can be hacked. It's just a matter of time. I think it may have been already.

Why are all you guys hating? Removing emissions equipment is normally a good thing for motors. It may be a good thing on this one? Don't think I'll be doing it just yet as I wanna keep this stock for now as it's a DD.

Opening up the exhaust and removing the cats is going to leave your truck whistling Dixie. Instead of cat deleting, be the first to run custom true duals. Doesn't seem too difficult to hack off the y-pipe and weld a pipe from each side. Still not going to sound great but you'd be different.

I think you would build more power retaining the ypipe but freeing up the cats.

Who knows maybe someone out there will come out with straight pipes with a O2 bung, that would eliminate any CELS from coming on, which has worked for many Turbo charged vehicles, but the only thing is, it isn't 100% that it won't throw a code, I've done it to my car, and no codes ever, but read about other guys with the same setup, but different brand of straight pipe, and its still threw codes..

Its still going sound like a 6 Iknow I sound like the fun police but Ive been there and done that and ruined a lot of machinery in the process
No, you just sound old!

Exactly, you can simulate the signal that the 02 gives, very easy and very inexpensive. You can build your own from Radio shack. A quick google search will show you how, in fact, I have two built in one of my car folders from back in my Mustang days. The computer will not know any different and Ford will never know (other than the cats aren't there LOL).

You guys are so paranoid (most likely republican LOL)
