Default Ecoboost Cat Delete

Anyone done it yet? I've got a 12' fx4 EB and i'm skeptical about doing it. I've got a 3" cat back Magnaflo out the side and i'm not happy with the sound. Know of any scensors that I'll get? Anything will help.

Thanks

Are you not happy with the sound because it's not loud enough? Taking the cats off will make it sound louder and courser sounding.

Whenever I cat deleted my diesel it made it sound much different. I think you'll end up with louder turbo sound and a raspy popping everytime you let off the gas. You'd be the first. Try it out and let us know.

No need for more warranty warnings. WE KNOW!

As for sensors, pretty much anything built since 1996 has had secondary o2 sensors to make sure the cats are working. It will definitely throw a code and the SES light will stay on. And yes, it will stink too.

Of course there is the warenty issue which doesent bother you but there is also the legal issue which also doesnt seem to be a concern then there is the deminished value.but its only money and then there is the performance issue the exhaust is sized to the turbo out put. the there is the noise issue I guese it dosnt matter that the rest of the world has to listen to it and last but not least if and when you sell or trade it you are responsible to the new owner to replace or repair any emissions related equipment. seems like a heavy price to pay to make a good running v6 into a loud crapy sounding v6. Its still going sound like a 6 Iknow I sound like the fun police but Ive been there and done that and ruined a lot of machinery in the process

Unfortunately i'm a 19 year old kid who still enjoys doing things i'll probably make fun of myself for twenty years down the road haha.

Basically I was wondering if anyone else has done this and recommends/doesn't recommend doing it. I do want a more throaty sound along with some more turbo whine and will most likely end up swapping my setup with the heartthrob system.

I've had straight piped diesels and such, but of course I already knew what that was going to sound like being it's been done MANY times before.

Lastly a question about the scensors and ECU. Does the ECU keep track of these scensors in a way that Ford could see what I had set up after I returned everything to stock (voiding warranty). I don't care about the warranty but i'm sure whoever plans on buying it whenever I sell it will. This already sounds like too many problems so it's looking like heartthrob...

well, you got a couple options, throw the code and ignore the bright light on the dash forever and when you return it to stock ford can still see the code was thrown, tune out the codes for post cats in which ford can see you did that, or don't waste your time deleting the cats
