Exactly, you can simulate the signal that the 02 gives, very easy and very inexpensive. You can build your own from Radio shack. A quick google search will show you how, in fact, I have two built in one of my car folders from back in my Mustang days. The computer will not know any different and Ford will never know (other than the cats aren't there LOL).

You guys are so paranoid (most likely republican LOL)
we're dealing with widebands home-skillet. not some over-active narrowband like 99% of other platforms that are NOT USED when at WOT. these trucks use their widebands at WOT for fueling...

Your (Our) 2nd O2 is a wideband?

Homeskillet made me laugh! Made me think of the movie Juno.

EDIT: The front and rear are different part numbers. Still looking to see if they are both wideband sensors

EDIT: The RH and LH for the front are also different part numbers LOL

Well I don't see any reason for the rear to be a wideband, but that doesn't mean Ford did that

You're a democrat, talking about disabling emissions equipment???

And to the others, I don't know for sure but would be very surprised if the rear O2's are wideband. WB's are expensive and you can't use the after-cat ones to control with, so there's not much point in making it unnecessarily expensive.

hmmmmm I mean i agree with your opinion but democrats are pushing stricter emission laws and global warming and all that. A democrat would lose his head if he found out that these chemicals where being released into the air.

You registered on this forum and your first post is a strange semi political response to a 7 year old thread?

I have the 3.0 and wondered if I removed the catalytic converter and left the DPF, would it be safe and not damage the vehicle? I already tried to delete it and ran into a boat-load of issues, and I ended up having to reinstall all brand new exhaust parts and related sensors. 7k worth!
