I have a 12 that was built end of Jan., 3.73 gears, eco,

Can the shudder be described as a low "droning" sound, like low rpm, in a high gear as a result of the higher than average low end torque that this motor produces?

I say that cause it sounds the same as my buddy's big Cummins diesel in his dodge.

PS: My Fuel readings are 16-17 L/100KM on highway

I dont have nav., so mine is accessed through the productivity screen. I have reset the options to what you have mentioned several times before I posted in here and the proximity shaded areas still do not appear.

I took my truck in for this and several other issues, again, and they told me that my camera was operating as it should (they replaced the entire thing last time along with a few sensors) and that I never had the shaded areas as it was not on the F-150's.

Yeah, they basically called me a liar. I kept my cool. Found a 2011 Lariat with the camera and no nav. and asked the guy to get the keys and we did a little "test."

This def. seems to be as a result of the TSB flash. Anyone else have this happen after getting the reflash?

Sorry you don't have the nav. so it won't work for you. Took mine in to the dealer this morning and let me tell you what the reflash did to mine. First the platinum has deployed running boards. Mine did not deploy after the reflash. Had one hell of a time climbing in as I am short and need the damned things. Okay, so I played with it while there and finally got them to redeploy by choosing auto in the driver's convenience settings like it was set at before the reflash. Then I notice that the electric telescope has quit on the steering. Still comes down but does not telescope out. Use the button and it acts like it is locked up. Oh, well, I drive it home and keep playing with it to try and get it to working again. Finally run the damn wheel all the way up into exit postition and hell!!! The damned thing will now telescope again. Reset it for driver comfort again.

Never lost the guide lines for the camera but did lose two others and finally got them back. Wind blowing in excess of 40 mph so no way to tell if mpg's are improved or not. Time will tell. Reflash does funny things to accessories........wonder what I have not found yet.

I am constantly in heavy traffic, stop and go kind of stuff and I consistently get 16 mpg.

SO, I thought i got a good one, but on my way home from airport today my 2011 screw 3.5 157" 3.73 did the 6th gear shudder around 60 mph 1500-1650 rpm. It is the first time, just rolled 4700 miles on the clock. Now I can make it do it whenever I want. So, my question is, the updates been out for a while, how many of you had the shudder come back after the update? Otherwise, 6.2 here i come

Has anybody tried changing out the tranny fluid? Maybe the tranny fluid sucks.

Took my truck in today for the 12-2-10 flash, I had a copy that I gave them, and left the truck for the day. Picked it up in the afternoon and was told that the "Tsb" number I gave them didn't exist and they couldn't find anything wrong with it after driving the crap out of it on the highway.
Maybe it's only in the States although I noticed people in Ontario getting it done and I thought that TSB's were more of a North American thing.

Anyone else have a dealer that says "sorry it's not in the system"? So far they've been pretty good so I'm reluctant to say fu and go somewhere else.

Cheers,

I talked to the service mgr about the update. I had to give him the # and point it out on his screen. He said that they were unaware of it and had never done one. Then after printing it and reading it for 10 minutes he pointed out the warning about the transmission having to relearn your driving habits which I was aware of. Then he said that after the update that they would have to reset the transmission by driving the truck in a circle then a figure 8 etc. I think he is blowing smoke up my *** because I have never read anything about this on the forum. Sounds to me that he has the compass and transmission confused. What do you guys think? Are there any Ford service guys on here?
