has anyone ever used windex as their windshield washer fluid

not in my neck of the wood this time of year! unless you WANT to replace a buch of parts.......

With washer fluid being much less expensive than windex, why bother?

Windex would be expensive.. Walmart has a big jug of some windshield cleaner that is like $3... and it works good.

You could put whiskey in it and it would work, but that would be a waste of good liquor. Almost any liquid will pump through the washer system.

i would say don't do it the chemicals in the windex will destroy your lines and everything else

no it wouldnt, that is a ridiculous statement. The main concern with using windex if you dont mind the expense is its freezing temp. If that is not a concern either then you just have to decide if you want to spray your truck with an ammonia based cleaner. Just seems to make more sense if you use the correct stuff.
