Default Transfer case skipping

Hey guys,
When I drive my 97 f150 in 4 lo, my tranfer case skips and jerks every time I apply the throttle. The truck is a manual transmission. Anyone know what it is, or had the same problem? Thanks guys

That's what I figured myself, I was just wondering if it could be anything else, and if it would be a big deal to replace it.

I would look into a junkyard case which would not be hard to install

It would be cheaper to repair his tcase than get a junkyard one

A junk yard t case will be more around here especially because this truck is a standard tranny, and I'm pretty sure it's a different t case from the auto tranny, I've got a buddy that can help me pull it apart, thanks guys!
