You don't get any performance from a 4.6/5.4
I don't see why a v-6 would benefit, not being mean it's just there's other things you could spend that same coin on and tell an improvement.
I went from a twin stock throttle body on my Harley to a single blade, much more of an increase in area for air to enter, I dent get much more than a snappier throttle response , telling from the butt dyno, but I know it's a help more so when I do much more to my truck. I'm also supercharged, and for the $350-400 I could have gotten something else that would have been a better piece to the puzzle, this was 10 years ago. Now I'm glad I have it but still. I'm just saying if I had a 4.2 I wouldn't get a t/b I'd go to Harbor freight, get a die grinder and bits to port some stuff.
Do they even make larger t/b for a 4.2?

If you have a automatic, Think about a programmer first.

Yeah you can, Just not AS noticable as a auto... But Either way that is where i would start is with a programmer.
