Default Train Horns..

Can I see some of your train horns mounted on your trucks? I notice a lot of them say the compressor can not be wet or dirty, so where do you put it?

Thanks.

Are these real train horns? I hear them enough at work driving trains.
One time I got on a train and I found out the horn had been stolen over the weekend. I was happy because I got sent home with pay till they could replace the horn

Nah theyre plastic or fiberglass or whatever. I work on a railroad too. Railroad horns are way better sounding. Find someone whos scrapping a locomotive and grab the horn...with permission of course.

Well I think I will pass. I know on some old sd40s they are not that bad. I will run with the window open but on some of the 2700s they are so loud that I keep the window shut at All times. I couldnot imagine them on a truck

Our Railroads got them mounted right above the cabs so theyre pretty loud but it depends. Weve got an Alco RS18 whose horn is so quiet, I could probably put my ear up to it. Love to know what railroad the horn originally came off of. The things painted purple lol.
