Ok, i bought these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/230921333337...84.m1439.l2649

and installed them today, they are motorized, heated, with puddle lights and turn signals. none of which have I wired up yet. I just barely got them installed before dark. and then it started raining. I'll do the wiring when it warms up more.

Here's what the bolt holes look like:

Here's the plugin location:

This is on a 2003 Super Crew just in case anyone forgot. Installing Expy mirrors.
Anyway, it's good to jam paper into your socket to lessen the chance of the nut falling down into your door.

this screw is a 9/32nd:

from the drivers side, notice the door panel still in the bed:

shot from the front, it's getting dark so quality is going down:

That's hard to say, I compared pics on yahoo images of each year model and they appear to change on the 07 year model. and the ones that fit say they are for 02-06 Expiditions. So I made sure to get the ones from that year span.

Anything up to a 06 will pretty much bolt on.

It took me 2 1/2 hours to do both sides. That includes digging up the tools as I went along (at least 3 times hunting different sockets) and learning how to do it on the first door.

Awesome! I'm glad someone else did this and took pictures! When I get home, I'll let you know how I wired everything, unless you already figured that out.

You're on your own as far as the heat, you can tell us how to do that. LOL.

Here is the way I wired my mirrors. Hopefully this saves some time, because it took me a while to locate all this info.

One thing I will note is that my mirror controls are backwards, ie up is down, left is right, and vice versa. There may be a way around this? I'm not an electrician haha. Hopefully the wire colors are the same for all these trucks!

Mirror Wire Color ----> Truck Wire Color

Drivers Side:

Motor Controls:
Red ----> Red
Blue ----> Blue
Tie together the yellow w/ blue stripe and yellow w/ red stripe ----> yellow

Turn Signal:
Green w/ white stripe ----> Pink

Puddle Lights: I ran a wire from the mirrors and tied into the wires that go to the lights in the doors.
Black ----> Black
Black w/ brown stripe ----> Black w/ blue stripe

Passenger Side:

Motor Controls:
Blue ----> Violet
Red ----> Green
Yellow/ blue stripe and yellow w/ red stripe ----> Yellow

Turn Signal:
Green w/ white stripe ----> Red

Puddle Lights:
Black ----> Black
Black w/ brown stripe ----> Black w/ blue stripe.

I hope this helps! I don't know what the left over wires are for. Some are for the heat, and the rest may or may not be used? I'm guessing that the wire harness is mass produced for all different options, so they may just not go anywhere. I took apart the mirrors a little to see where some wires went, but I didn't want to break a brand new mirror. It could also be that the same harness is used for both sides, so multiple wires run to the same option and you use the correct one depending upon color/side.

after driving the truck today with the new mirrors on there I'm very happy with the results. There is at least half again the viewing area more than the stock mirrors. These are the ones that should have come on the truck to start with.
