I'm telling you my buddy has a 2003 scab f150 he has that size tire on his truck we trimmed the front valence and he was good to go

Ya if the aspect of the tire itself this size is only a 70 series tire if it were a 75 series tire the tire would be close to 33 but it's not so its closer to 32

I thought the 285 is how tall it is, 70 or 75 is how wide it is and 15/16/17 ect. Is the rim size

The 285 is the width of the tire measured in millimeters the 70/75 is the aspect ratio percentage from the bead to the top of tread hope that helps a 285/75/16 will measure out to 33x11.5
