Well, you were 100000% correct White, i got under there, took my handy dandy phone and took a video and saw the oil seep spot. Its gonna stay as is, not sure if a heavier weight oil will help reduce the seepage or not. Next on the list, cutting the cats and suspension with a 2" rear drop shackle.
Welp.... I messed up, errrr, Autozone messed up, and it caused me to as well.
They ordered the wrong TXV kit. Hell, what they ordered didn't even have a TXV in it.
I messed up by tearing everything out without opening the box. Luckily, the manager found a kit in one of the Orem stores, and it's getting transferred over here tomorrow. I got to use my A/C system flusher today. I really, really like it! Definitely would recommend it.
On the 2011 Escape.... I spent the whole day on it. The Wife leaves for Wyoming on Thursday, so I got it back in fighting shape. I got the A/C working again, replaced the ignition switch and lock housing, added a circuit and used it to install a new dash cam, then did a lube and filters job.
The valve on my high side of the gauge set was leaking. I bought a 2 year extended warranty on it - and they allowed me to also renew that 2 year warranty. They also let me exchange the whole kit AND take advantage of their special going right now. Some of you may be interested in this deal.
This TXV is stuck open, I believe (see pic). It would not build any pressure. Pretty sure the diaphragm was bad. If this one goes bad, I'm going to get a MC unit. Or look into what it'd take to use the 2005-2007 orifice tube setup.
