They are all out to some extent, outside of the on by the motor mount. That one is gonna be tricky. Only one is broke, and it was broke when I started. I got the stud and nut out on all of them but the top right. Pounding a 12mm on the tougher candidates turn out to be very beneficial. I think hitting it also helped.
I have to do this job, too, but I first need to wire for and buy (and learn to use) a welder. I have two broken studs, and there's no way they're going to play nice.
I've been driving it like this for over a year - maybe since I bought it. It's remarkably quiet (for now).
That's what is weird, I am 100% doing this because it looks like it's not much longer for this world. This doesn't leak either.
I plan on trying a stud extractor first. If that doesn't work somewhat quickly, I'll move to zapping a nut on there. It kind of depends what it looks like when I get to see it sticking out of the head.

First time at about 165,000 miles was easy, I used an impact with a few wobblies on the studs. The 13mm nuts were rusted down to 12mm. So the studs came out with the nuts. Got most of them that way. The rest with a wrench.
The impact worked every time, much better than I thought it would at first. Had to remove the wheel well of course.
Removing two sets of headers after that was a PITA. Both had to be cut off in chunks to remove...no choice.
That sounds "fun", Ohio. I bet it was fun to get it out, nonetheless!
I'm over here trying to figure how I'm going to get at this exhaust stud/nut. I run right into the motor mount with a socket. When it's all out, I'm going to notch that son of a gun.
Huh, must be a 4six thing...strange for sure. Maybe that's why some end up lifting the motor.....4sixs anyway. The 5mm hex looks to be in good shape, you haven't got on that yet lol.
