New Pixel 9 Pro XL is ordered. Added $5.55/mo to my bill after a $1000 credit. $147 still owed on my current phone was waived, and I can keep it. I decided to add the $8/mo screen-protection plan for now. Something about carrying around a $1,200 phone makes me think it's worthwhile, at least until it depreciates significantly. Now to hunt for replacement solutions for the Moto actions I'll miss.
I'm a dyed in the wool Samsung guy, but I'd consider a Pixel because of the camera. Google's camera apps have also been historically better than Samsung's too.
I remember as a kid thinking Samsung products were "meh".
EDIT: These were my first taste of Samsung.... back then, the Trinitron was far superior to anything else on the market. (not my pic)

Sister and I got a black and white for each of rooms one Christmas. We were very young. All that really sticks in my head from that point on - Go to room ...and no TV !

A tool of abuse lol.
My dad put my TV in the wall for a sleek look. except when i did bad in school, he took the TV out of the wall, so there was just a hole to remind me of my empty soul. lol
Whitey - "Trinitron" was Sony. I think Samsung used a "slot mask" technology. Both were good, though, back in the day.
Sorry- I figured you would all know what "Trinitron" meant - I wasn't saying that was a Samsung deal. That's all I owned for years was Sony products. My 32" Trinitron is the only Sony home electronics product that crapped out on me.
I still have my 1992-1994 Sony stereo in the garage.
EDIT: I love this little feller (stolen pic from YouTube). It ran four 15's in my bedroom for a long time. Two 15 inch crunch subs, and two 15 inch Fisher's.

P.S. I like the Galaxy phones, too, but 1) there was no deal on the S25, and B) Most comparisons I read said the Pixel was just fine and yes, had better photo results. More megapixels doesn't necessarily translate to more better pics. The Pixel's screen is brighter, too. Battery life is better in the Galaxy, and it has a faster processor. I like the idea of the S25's matte screen, but can add an anti-glare screen protector to the Pixel if I want to. (Though I prefer the protective qualities of a 9H tempered glass one, and haven't seen glass in matte.)
P.P.S. I had a 32" Sony TV at the old house before we moved here in 2012. Just about busted a n*t trying to move that thing!

Wasn't a Sony, but was the last of the heavy one's I came home with. Parents got the dark walnut version same time. It fell apart moving it at some point. Cheap cabinet.
Went with a Hitachi after that. Back then, I didn't care who made what. Much larger screen and lighter!
