Smells like new rubber in the garage.
Got 3 new tires waiting to be installed.
2 for the Sportster, and a new front tire for the Honda Trike Tom just bought. (he sold the HD trike to his brother)
Ran into more problems on the trike.
Motown Harley Davison screwed Tom over.
Told him they had to put rear brakes on it to pass the 150-point safety inspection.
This is the Bowlchit they sent out the door on a bike they just sold and said passed a safety inspection !!
Bad rotor I noticed they pad slapped.
We ordered new rotors for $250
When I pulled it apart this is what I found...
And they didn't even clean and lube the caliper slides.
The only way this could have happened is by forgetting to put a pad in there.
The bolts capture the pads and have retaining clips on the ends.
Pic of the good caliper to show how much piston is ground down.
I told Tom to contact a lawyer, but he doesn't want to deal with them ever again.
Now he just dropped over $900 on 2 new calipers @ Wolverine Harley Davidson.
Waiting on them to come in.
Going to get the tires mounted and balanced while we wait.
"TIT" in a wringer for whoever state inspected the bike
The law around here just says it needs 1 working brake, but you need to inspect both
I think I'd get the Highway Patrol involved and make the inspectors shop buy you brake parts, and they would also have a stern talk with the technician
