If I land the job I just interviewed for... I plan to ****** up a Lightning or Harley. After chemo and nearly going broke during the pandemic it's hard to put money aside. The 75mm BBK throttle body was a huge change in throttle response, and CARB legal... also their 1-5/8 tuned shorty headers are CARB certified. Not many CARB certified charge kits out there or for the 4.6l, but I've seen a few options. If it's gonna stay in Cali I want whoever buys it to pass CARB smog inspections, and I'm waaaay below what I'm allowed so I've got room to play with mods, I'm just not so sure without headers I'd go 21lb injectors... I'm just shy of 300hp with current mods (up from 230-240 factory). The tuner alone is 27hp, GOTs is another 10hp, dual exhaust another 10, MSD ignition another 5hp, K&N another 5hp.
It's possible for the 5four to achieve 260 RWHP NA. W/o head work and/or a charger...but it end there. That's been dyno proven.

Lightning build would be cool...getting difficult acquiring all the goods though. You could go Coyote...building a harness for it is a drag but it can be and has been done now.

My '01 4*4 has a 5.4, 3.01 equivalent rear end, & supposed 265HP.. I used to get 16 mpg at 60-65 when it had 16's vs the 17's now. Clearly, your acceleration should best mine, but I need mpg. If I had $3k for an 8psi turbo, I could have both worlds. Sigh. Maybe, if "someday" comes.
