No. 4 AM, furnace making noise, t-stat dark, no heat. Long story short, I traced it down to what I think is a cracked solder joint where the t-stat terminal strip is connected to the controller. Working now, but will pull the board and reflow those points. I guess it's good that I took PTO today.
Home Depot thing was good idea. Having a fairly a basic stat on hand makes it easier to determine the other is flaky as well. Swap it , go back to bed ..

It also a good thing a stat isn't totally necessary to operate the thing. ....just a couple wires.. Don't even need a wire nut. A few twists, go back to bed, I so glad I don't put stuff off...but I do save for later.

I reflow anything questionable anymore. Or suck it clean and start over if it looks contaminated. Cracks are not always easy to see...for me anyway. I need a magnifier w/the light around it grandma used to read at night .

To bad everybody didn't build Dinosaur boards. A PCB builder that will or prob already has gone far....they make some nice appliance boards. At double the price. They had a few for the furnace I was working earlier this week..but I couldn't really warrant one yet. lol.

Good deal Ohio, the more you know and learn eventually makes it kind of fun.

Is that a thumbs up button? Ingenuous.

Caddyshack!

There are *so* many Christmas movies out now! Glad you found a good one, Brew. That cast is pretty stacked, and it looks like a fun flick. Watch-listed!

EDIT: Gotta love RT sometimes...

I watched the old school classics over last weekend.

Started watching my favorite Christmas episodes last night... only finished The Dukes, then I dozed off. LOL

The plan has been to go to Trolley Square this weekend and do some other shopping around SLC. But I think I'm the only one that's not sick right now. I am definitely the only one awake.

So there is something going around. Was beginning to think someone spiked the creamer w/ex-lax this morning.
