Well, the 2006 F150 was purchased by my Buddy. The people wrecked it on Friday, and sold it today. The firefighters cut a big chunk out of both battery cables, so I couldn't start it. Talked to the guy, said they've had it for about 4 years, and he never did the timing chain or phasers. We were planning on doing the chains and pump anyway.... The trans has under 15K on it. It has an EDGE tuner, and a trailer brake. It's a 4X4, so we'll be able to sell the t-case and front diff...... at least I think so. I don't see any damage from what I can see. The interior is a damn nice shape, but it is tan leather, sooooo.....

Also couldn't see actual mileage, but he says it is around 150K on it.

If it were my yard I would cut them off at the stem and treat with concentrated 2-4d with a brush over the open cut rather than spraying.

The only way to really stop the shoots is to kill the tree making them.

I thought I read they'll kill everything but the grass ? Folks just mow them or cut and introduce a hormone spray or whatnot. That works for about a year or season, but you'll have to do it again next year. That's what I got out of it. I didn't hit any links , it was on the search page.

Because they are growing from the roots of it correct?

Alright, crash coursed it , - apparently your grass is safe white, that's the worry correct ? They are coming from the roots (I wasn't sure dohh lol). Even if you wack the tree, you can still continue to get them until the root runs out of juice, could be a few years. Folks treat them with the formulation jp recommended, but like I said before, it only works for so long, they come back the next year if you stop.

My Dad used 24-D to kill his entire Poplar trees. Noticed tonight that the neighbors damn willow has a root in my lawn too, which has come to the surface. Talk about planting the ****tiest trees you could find....

These guys don't talk. They come home and go right in the house. We went over there to take them some cookies a couple times and they don't answer the door. Not too sure if I just start giving the trees a diet or not, lol. There is a spot we wanted to put in a garden on the side of the house, and I tilled up all kinds of roots. Might be a good place to treat with the 24-D

Those are a couple of the worst trees. Dodging Willows this year, one still might me...remember I said that. Looking at chain saws to clean a couple up.

Depending on the root, well, there's always the sawzall white. Greenly and Milwaukee have some bad ***** pruning blades for those saws, 12" blades.

You're luck with neighbors is in the low percentile, you realize that ? That stinks. More cookies for you

BTW- jprevat knows his stuff about trees...I might better of corked it once he arrive. Hope I didn't offend jp, seriously. Just in case.
