Never had a kidney stone, but my brother did when he was about 10 years old. I vividly remember watching the poor kid go through that pain. Because he was so young, the doctors wouldn't give him anything very powerful for pain.... boy did I feel awful for him.

Speaking of my brother, I put rotors, pads, and a front wheel bearing on his Escape yesterday. I told him to order Timken bearings for it (in case both sides were shot). Well, I was pretty disappointed to find the country of origin on the bearing upon opening the package.....

Yeah, i hate that- think your gonna buy something with a little better quality, then you find out its foreign made too!- the only hope is that Timken stuff is produced to a higher standard- but there is really no way to know, other than use it and find out.- good luck, man , i hope they live up to the name!

I've put in 8 of these bearings on Escapes now. The very first one said Timken USA on it. There have been 4 that were in Timken packaging and one in National packaging that said SKF Spain (which I am OK with). The other was a Chinese made Duralast... then this.

I really hate pressed in bearings, BTW. LOL

Wouldn't want that pain. I'll never forget that guy in the porta john on a job site just screaming when I was kid. Didn't know what was wrong with him, called 911. Come to find out he was passing one of those. I think that's something you want to catch as far ahead of time as you can. Get the meds to break it up I expect. But, yea that was terrible, the guy was just screaming in pain.

When it hit it wasnt quite as bad, but after i got home, wow!- when you get to the hospital, they get you on a pain killer , muscle relaxer and put a saline drip in you- when you relax then the stone can move easier.

So - get to the hospital ASAP ? Where does the pain start, stomach, your side ? What are the signs lol. After seeing that person in agony, I definitely don't want that. It'll prob never happen, just in case lol.

Wow Bear. I've had my share of medical problems, but never a Kidney Stone. What's the idea of trying to collect those? Don't you know you can pick up stones anywhere? You don't have to manufacture them special. lol

Glad that you got rid of the little bastage. With any kind of luck, you'll never have to go thru that again. Let's hope anyways. Get better Yogi. On your back is not a good thing, unless you are having fun other ways. lol

Lower back, left or right, just under the ribs-there is nothing like it- its a pain you cant get away from-like with a pulled muscle, you can find a position that dont hurt as bad, with this it wont let up.- they say caffiene reacts with the calcium thats filtered out in the kidneys and forms the stones over time- ( i drink a lot of coffee)
When the stone finds its way to the urethra and starts towards the bladder, thats when it gets bad!!
