Yeah, except for the camera. But the kid added that in after his initial post..

All the other stuff in the 'quoted' post...junk.

It does brake check on curves when it thinks cars are coming into my lane. And over-slows even on #1 of 4 levels, when on cruise control as it has no brain. As I age, I'll be glad of warnings. They warn me, about my ability. I no longer go 20 hour trips with one gas-up. I am reaching my limit. I know it. A cheaper reminder, probably, won't kill me... It's a nice bell or whistle set, as a button-defeatable option. It's also good for new drivers who over-cook their skill set. It's too bad they never got to learn in the dirt.

Auto braking experience so far:
I have had zero actuation of actual braking.
Several warnings that the system will soon do it. These have all been when someone cut me off on the highway and their car is abruptly slowing.
If the sensor (on windshield on my truck) gets blocked you get a warning about system being inop.
I have had zero issues with it so far.

Much like the 4wabs on my 97 (and every other car in my driveway now), it just seems to do its job without issues or complaints.
I sure wish one of my kids had auto braking on her cars, it sure would have kept her car count (and insurance costs) down.

Everybody b!tched and complained about ABS when it first came out (and there are those who still do), but it's prevented a lot more mishaps than it's ever caused. There's also not a person on the planet that can out-brake it today. The (other) "sissified" features that have been mentioned are following the same path.

Yeah , they really suck now with all that garbage. I knew we were in trouble when they went to monster rims and rubber band tires.....disgusting. They're circus trucks.

Some steering maneuvers require sliding wheels. ABS steps in, partially foiling this, throwing the casual effort into chaos. Hi frequency ABS works better than most low frequency. My Mazda 6 was low frequency. It added to loss of control in certain maneuvers.

Here's a new mfr'g law;

You can bet cops will be able to turn theirs off... But not us.

Love that automatic stuff myself
Takes the idiot out of it
I have had a load of those E park brakes already with a 2022 Mercedes a guy broke trying to replace pads
I now know this,
There is a work around by pulling the actuator off and returning the piston with a Allen wrench
