Old pistons were bad, in a way the metal was bad from the start, didn't hold up. Took some elbow grease as parts cleaner..tank would get it all.

Did it online and one member sent me his stuff after giving up on his. Didn't need it, my originals were still okay. Other than that, the fluid was a small fortune....200,000 more miles out it, still has never slipped.. that I can tell anyway since.

I didn't use I/2 of that kit after locating the problem.
Oh now I get where you are coming from. All I saw was bricks of aluminum that I could picture myself pulling out and watching 50 ball bearings and springs take off across the counter and floor... never to be seen again. Lol

It's about time to un-busy these tail lights. I'm thinking they will definitely look better with only the reverse light lense being clear.

I'm curious how that will look... post pics JP!

I'm undecided what I'll put the cam in. Frankie already has an E303, and the 351 I'm putting in it has a Comp XE274HR in it. The 89 has the stock cam in it, but I am contemplating returning it to mostly stock again.

Any of you fellers have a sure fire way to remove rust from the driveway? I tried CLR, Rust Blaster.... and the pressure washer. It ain't budging.

I'll post a picture or two when I get a little less humidity around here. I say take the 89 to stock except for engine work. Evaporust might do the trick.

Need acid and trisodium phosphate.
Depending on the extent of the rust stain you may get by with vinegar. Use muriatic acid instead.
USE FOCKING PPE !! NEVER POUR WATER INTO ACID, ADD ACID TO WATER !!!

Apply diluted acid (or straight depending on your level of brave) to the surface so the acid can fully penetrate (sometimes there are instructions on the bottle).
Allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes, maybe more, keep it wet.
The concrete will bubble up if the acid is working. DON"T SNIFF THE FUMES, IT WON"T GET YOU HIGH !!
Scrub the stain with a stiff-bristled brush.
Mix the trisodium phosphate with water (directions on box) and apply mixture to acid and stain.
Scrub some more.
Scrub some more
Rinse with water for way too long to deactivate the acid.
Keep rinsing.
Set up sprinkler to keep rinsing.

Also, Keep dogs, cats and children from playing in the acid, soap, and sprinkler. Squirrels are OK to get in it as I don't like squirrels.
Squirrels keep throwing acorns at me.

edit: if concrete has texture, scrub with the texture.

Hell yeah... I'll give that a whirl. Probably try vinegar in round one though. I'll use muriatic as a last resort. Hafta go see if HD still carries TSP here.
