I was painting tonight.
Not a fan of spray cans, kept getting a weird finish.

↑ 1st coat.

↑ After the 5th coat, still a weird finish.
I shot a little clear on the paper and it looked much better.

↑ 1st coat of clear, starting to look pretty good.

↑ 2nd coat of clear.

↨ And that's when I had to call it a night, it was looking so nice.

Darn mosquito landed in the 2nd coat of clear.

I will let it bake out in the sun tomorrow and start wet sanding it tomorrow night.

Strange on the base Phil. Wouldn't of thought clear would make that much of a transformation. Base even looked kind of spotty. Sure turned out good in the end.

I think my funny vibration may have fixed itself. At least at idle, I don't feel it anymore. I think I may have either a) caught the engine or the exhaust on a rock enough to yank it out of place, but not to actually break anything or leave a dent, or b) gotten some mud lodged in a place where it hardened, and then eventually crumbled. I can't prove either of things, because I couldn't find any mud or dents (or even scrapes), but I'll take it.

I'll know it self-cured for sure whenever I get on some open highway again.
