I took a 4-hr round-trip highway trip today. It didn't go well - I found three problems:
  1. The truck pulls right, despite just having it in for alignment not once but twice.
  2. When I brake, the truck pulls left.
  3. Worst, I have an engine gremlin: twice, it cut out hard. It felt like the ignition was cutting completely and abruptly, causing the engine to bang hard against the mounts. This lasted maybe 3-5 seconds before resuming like nothing ever happened. Both times I was going 70-ish; once with the cruise on, once with it off. It did this once before, 2-3 weeks ago. No codes.
Any thoughts on any of this?

Good morning, all. Sorry I've been so quiet lately. Life's a-changing here, but there's light at the end of the tunnel. (And this time, it's not a train!)

Thanks for the code, Whitey.

Oh, and I'm back to no pist notifications for this thread again. Grrrr.

grandparents are moving back home from the assisted living facilty, they went back on their word with all the help they said they were going to do. and bascially start long term hospice for my grandpa, For the first time he was asked what he wanted, and he said he wanted to be home where he was for the past 60 years. and get a private home health aid to help them out

You know... as much as I love Youtube, sometimes I wish I didn't click on some of the videos. Somehow I've been lured into watching this old Dateline series on child predators. I am so damn worried (even more) about being the Dad of three daughters. These are some SICK dam MF'rs. Just showing up at houses to meet 13 and 14 year old kids. Geez... and the series is from about 2006, I believe. Probably even worse now.

We got buried yesterday with snow. At the airport 15.6 inches. Where I live, 20 inches. Everyone is digging out today.

I wonder where this is going next? It's heading South East. Good luck whomever get this mess next.

So I've determined that (1) and (2) are a bad brake hose on the right side. I dropped that caliper a couple months ago and killed the hose, I reckon. If I have to do hoses, then I may as well do my 7700 swap.

On (3), though, I'm at a loss. Don't even know where to start. I looked around under the hood and nothing jumped out at me. The bolt on the firewall for the engine ground is tight and as far as I can tell, the one on the back of the block is, too. Any ideas or do I just need to find a mechanic?
