A man has to put someone on blast sometimes. I have a great deal of self control for that, most of the time.
I hate the "beating around the bush" questions. Just had one this morning. Via email I got asked "Hey, do you know who we go through for the security readers on the doors?". I replied back with the vendors info. I get an email back "Can you call them in and have them give us a quote?". It is irritating... just ask me to call them in on the first question. Don't act like you're interested in being involved, then dump the $4!t right back on me.
I love it when I ask, "Do you know who our vendor is? If so, could you get us a quote?" and the reply back is, "Yes, it's XYX Vending."
I asked two questions, dipsh!t!
HD rescheduled my new garage lights to tomorrow. Dang it.
My cousins Wife hit me up that her work is hiring. Again, higher pay. So, I will be sending them a resume too. I have someone to put in a good word there though.
A lot of us don't want to go to 11 just yet. I actually may have to reinstall 10 on a PC that runs a piece of equipment. The guy that runs it decided to let it update, and now the software won't run after the recent Windows Updates. We'll see... but a lot of us don't know how it will act with software, licenses, etc. so we are holding off. I have 11 on a PC at home, and it seems to be geared towards gaming more than business.
With all due respect to White, the Win 11 upgrade only gives you 10 days to roll back. When Win 7 upgraded to Win 10 you got 30 days. I assumed 30 days would apply to Win 11 as well, but learned the hard way that they reduced it to 10 days this time around. Forgive me for contradicting White, but I don't want someone else to make the same mistake I did.
On the positive side, Win 11 isn't that bad. I've been running it since October and it works pretty well. There are a few annoying things like you can't separate the buttons in the task bar, but overall it was less painful than when ME, XP, Vista, or 8 rolled out.
Oh, OK. Not contradictory at all. All I know is nobody talked to IT about upgrading, and the CAD software was not compatible with 11 after a recent update (last Tuesday). The company that we use for the machine and it's software wound up sending in a new PC with 10 on it, and it's running again.
And yeah, I figured it was like the 7 to 10 change. There are a number of things I don't care for. I have 11 on my garage PC, but I really only use that to look up parts and stream music.
Back up tbe whole drive. Set it aside. Now remove 11.from only the drive you use..Uf you decide 11 is cool, you will have it, but before unstalling.it,.manually change the date.to.seem lime you are under 30 days, IF that is somehow a benefit.
Utah hit a record today. 16 days is now the most days with triple digit temps in a single month. The previous record was 15. We still have 3 days left too. All 3 days have the potential to crack 100.
BTW, it's currently 97 right now, and my house is 72 inside. I can't believe how AWESOME it was to switch to the ridge vents. It is letting the hot air escape the attic so much easier.

My Wife brought me home a Mac to work on. I'm a little out of my element. You turn it on and it takes about 20 minutes for the progress bar to hit 100%, then it just sits there.
I'm thinking the hard drive it toast. I have no idea what OS version it was, nor does the person that owns it. She said it's about 7 or 8 years old.
