Thinking
I would have just welded a ball to the top of the blade and a couple "oh crap" chains and backed up the hill. I've done similar (well not a camper, a trailer loaded with logs for firewood) with a track-hoe but I've never had anyone let me operate a dozer.
Ball on dozer blade may have been to high though.
Could have just hung the hitch from the top of the blade with chains? I don't know, I just think the truck was in the way of progress. Too many moving parts.

Yeah, I was flabbergasted.
It's going home time... hope to get a lot done the next couple of nights. Still planning on learning how to rebuild a trans or three this weekend, and that'll put a damper on Frankie's progress.
My Buddy is starting back up, and wants me to tear down and build a few for him.

leave to go on vacation in a little over a month. I need to get my vehicle stuff ready. Gallon of coolant, washer fluid, quart of oil and last but not least..roll of duct tape
You never know what you might encounter on the roads these days.
[QUOTE=white89gt;7251680]We are hovering around 100 for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, my primer that I am using says I should shoot it about 90 degrees. But yeah, I've got a window in the garage that should fit a couple box fans in it. I hadn't really thought about an intake side though, lol. I was more concentrated on getting the particulates and fumes out. My F150 sits right outside that window.... I better move it.
A $5 20x20 furnace filter taped to a 20 inch box fan can do a lot of good in a situation like this.

When the wild fires were really bad here a couple years ago, I bought higher quality filters and did the same thing in my house. The entire state looked like the inside of a hooka bar for a couple weeks. I took 3 box fans, taped filters to them and let them run 24/7. It's surprising how much black shid they filtered out. Looking at the filters and thinking how much of that would have been in my lungs was eye opening.

GRF, my 02 5.4l always had a slight miss at idle. Almost not noticeable but there if you paid attention. It came to me with a full K&N intake on it. A few weeks ago I decided it was finally time to clean the filter, that went well and the truck seemed to like at 1st. Then it started running like shid probably 50ish miles later. ( I have a 65 mile round trip commute to work) I assumed I must have put to much oil on it which I've read kills MAFs. I already had a full stock intake (including MAF) from Pic-n-Pull's 50% off sale. I swapped them out and added a brand new Motorcraft filter. My idle is smooth as can be now, runs better than ever. So this one step did 3 things, replaced the (assumed wonky) MAF, replaced whatever the other sensor in the intake tract is (IAT maybe?) and got rid of the K&N stuff. Not sure which one was the magic or maybe all 3 combined to help but there is my story since you mentioned the miss at idle a few pages ago.
My air filter and IAC is new.
I'll do a clean up on the MAF.
like u said it doesn't do it all the time.
But you can feel a very slight vibration when it does...
As far as the gas level gauge indicator....
I have a theory..
The truck sits higher at rear than it was with OEM leaf springs. I have HD leaf springs with helpers and it lifts the truck higher from the back.
That means there is more fuel sitting toward the front of the fuel tank. Hence half tank fuel level indicator is not accurate.

The first trans mount on the 98 was toast at 155,000....metal metal. The vibration from that cracked the spot welds on the cat heat shields....they got squeaky.
The trans mount wears out on these trucks...motor mounts not so much.
