We were going to go to the air show at HAFB today, but our friends tested positive for covid this morning. Might get my plasma cutter rigged up to 220 today. I tried it on 110 yesterday and it popped the breaker twice, and I could tell it wanted more juice. I really need to add a couple 110 circuits to my garage too... soon!
On the topic of the 78 F250, he bought it for his Brother that lives in PA. However, said Brother had a stroke a few months back, and he won't be able to do anything with this truck now. It was offered to me, but I just don't have time or room for it... well, I guess I have room... but it's just not my Forte I suppose. I still have another Fox Body to do after Frankie.
Two years ago I brought in 11 dump truck loads of material for the driveway from a site where they were building a new house. They had knocked down and removed two trailers prior, and some of the debris was left behind. Every once in awhile, I discover something has worked its way to the surface. This was the latest find:
Yeah. In the driveway. My morning/evening walks with Duncan are beneficial in more ways than one.
Speaking of which....
He's turned into one good-looking dog. (Of course, I'm biased, but c'mon!)
I painted my trim pieces and airbag today, and they came out looking good.
The only trouble is the black of the airbag isn't nearly as close to the color of the wheel as I would have expected.
Both are stated to be for the same years (paint '89-'98 and wheel '94-'98). I've sent LMR an email to see if there's a different paint color that will be a better match. If not, I might consider painting the spokes to match the bag. The steering wheel itself is often a different color due to having a diifferent texture anyway.

Anybody agree, disagree, or have other ideas?
What paint? Is it a color mismatch or a sheen mismatch (it can be hard to tell on black)? If the latter, you might have better luck with a dye.
[QUOTE=white89gt;7234809]Damn truck didn't sell. He agreed on a price, drove all the way from Boise with a rented dolly. Then wanted to dicker on the price. I told my Buddy not to budge, as we'd already come down 20% on it. I was proud of him... [Quote]
Lesson is, get a NON refundable 100$ deposit to reserve the right to have the truck help 24 or 48 hrs. Ahead of time, Prop a Phone on video record somewhere not obvious if they want to fight about it when they arrive. Have 911 on speed dial on the 2nd ph and don't announce that you will call. Let them be dumb, until you announce, "3232 Westover Ave, outdoor altercation over a deal went bad. 4 males." Act like you hung up but leave it in your shirt pocket. It sounds like drugs and they will scoot. Never announce the video until the cops arrive. Welcome to the 21st century -
This little cheap plasma cutter runs MUCH better on 240V. Took me a few to dial it all in with air pressure, amps, etc... started with the bottom, then ended with the top. Still need to refine my technique a bit. I got it to cut 1/4", but it didn't like 3/8" so much.
Anyone here know how Chevron sells their gas in BC, Canada ?
The nearest Chevron refinery to the Canadian border, is Utah.
Is Chevron transporting gas all that way to get into Canada or do they buy gas from Canadian refineries and just add the "techron" in it ?
