Thanks for the suggestion. HD was the same price as Amazon, and will have it here Thursday instead of a week and a half from now. Any more, I'm only using Amazon when I can't find something elsewhere, or the price delta is too great.
I only need to shave 1/4" off each side, so I'll fit up a fence to a partial sheet of plywood, and clamp it in place.

Just to think. This thread started out as a question about buying Red, which turned into a community thread. It turns out that posting the title "Thinking" was quite appropriate in this instance.
You guys made this thread into what it has become. I want to give credit where it's due. It's on you guys. Kudos.
A throwback to the one who started this all with this picture of my initial first impression (I wasn't impressed at first look)...............RED.
It's amazing how this thread has meandered to and fro through many, many far-from-related conversations, yet always finds its way back to F150 topics. Sometimes it doesn't *stay* there very long, but....

Red sure did come a long way from that picture!
Maybe it's time for AK and friends to have a "Thinking" Podcast.
That blade rocks. A friend of mine is a retired carpenter, and his specialty was hanging and fitting doors. He's taught me a couple awesome tricks for using a circular saw to cut doors, and that was the blade he recommended.
All I use is Diablo. The one the chop saw has about 10 years on it and still cuts like butter. That one was pricey, 75 or 80 bucks but worth it. Great blades.

Clamping a straight edge to the door right? Looks like a good door, solid wood edges/hinges in the middle, it shouldn't splinter on yuh with a good blade.
Some of those cheap doors like to splinter right on the edges regardless of what you do.
Actually good solid edge doors may splinter or chip as well. Depends on the wood. Scribing them with a sharp (non carbide) paneling blade first will get yuh past that. I doubt you'll have that issue tho.
