Anyway, that story was me trying to say that I didn't get out to the garage tonight. It's now past 8 pm, and I don't want to get out there and start messing with Bondo this late. Dammit.
Yea, you would end up having to rushing things I expect. Or get all bondoey for a few hours work... bondoey...werd man lol
I don't have anything scientific to base it on, White, but I'm sure it's helping with some R-value, though not a bunch. More important is the reflectivity. When I lean up against it, I can feel my body heat bouncing off it immediately. I used 4x8 sheets cut to fit between the horizontal ribs on the door, holding them in place with aluminum furnace tape.
I just finished up outside, so I'm going to have a snack, then toddle on to bed.
My late-evening exercise results:

Good morning thinkers!- hope all is well with you fellers!- its chilly in the valley-48 on my patio this morn.- put another log on the fire, guys!
TTYL!-
Brew, I got "Bondoey" the other day. That stuff sticks to your fingers. I've been using a punch of chip board that I cut up at work as my "palette". I made them a little more narrow than I should have for mixing larger amounts, so yeah - my fingers became friends with Bondo for a couple of days.
Ohio, this is the stuff I'm looking at for my garage door. Not sure if it's worth it... the manufacturer has it at an R value of 4.6 at 75 degrees, and a value of 5 at 40 degrees. Probably not a good ROI.
You can get more than an R4 out it. You can hit a R10 on a garage door, it'll cost more tho. Rather then me try to explain air gap, what materials to use and where to incorporate reflective barriers. Hit the product sites themselves. They provide cross sections and values. I can track down some links if you need them.

This is interesting.... a couple months ago I put a new window motor/regulator assembly in my parents 2012 Escape. When I got it together and pushed the switches to test it - it worked, but up went down, and down went up. I just reversed the wires and moved on. No big deal. Well, my Wife just called me and said our 2011 is broke now too (same window). I just hopped on Amazon to order one, and look at the ONLY two reviews.
