I miss those too... haven't done one in a good 15 years though. When I was in my 20's, it was an every Friday and Saturday night deal at my Buddy's place. Between the cards, the pool, and the good BBQ, it was one hell of a time.

Sounds like fun, in my 20's there were bon fire parties on the weekends. Some were pretty wild. I remember one where a guy drove his RX7 into the fire and let it burn. Yea, crazy stuff lol.

But yea, we still play cards on the weekends, well, until this covid thing anyway. That's what I was talking about ....missing that!

The filter box can be a PITA from what I recall. It was nice having that 100,000 mile Amsoil filter in there , while it lasted.
The guy that put the windshield in on Friday kept saying the same thing. as far as I know it's been in CO all or most of its life. I'll have to see if I got a CarFax.

Looks like I'll get to take it apart again. I got a Bank 1 rich and a MAF code today. The rich code has been an off and on thing, usually going months (six or more) between being triggered. The MAF code is new, though. I'll clean it up tomorrow, but I'm thinking I should do new O2 sensors for good measure, regardless.

Yea, those are some strange codes, not very common. You have something weird going on. Is the idle good, around 730 rpms ? But yea, A MAF and Rich DTC isn't very common. Good luck with that one.

Those bank one's usually need the good sensors, just an FYI. Motorcraft or Bosch is what I'd recommend. You probably already know that though.

I do know running rich too long can screw those upstream sensors up. Also, Bosch sensors are more forgiving when it comes to DTC's. The Motorcrafts are more critical in that aspect. However the Motorcraft O2's are a tuners favorite, - much easier to read and much much more stable on the graph....makes it easier to dial in the AF's. If there was a reason Ford used Bosch sensors as OEM, I would think it's because of the wider parameter margins.

The graph comparison between Bosch and Motocraft is seriously night and day. If I was custom tuning, it would be Motorcraft. Other than that, I personally would stick with Bosch.

Also, the sensors have to switch properly with each other. All four should be the same brand imo. Poor or improper switching can screw things up.
