Interesting, I have those listed as being an inch long from the factory. I will measure tonight though and see if they will work.

Makes me wonder if that's why you had a hard time getting them to work for you? The GT/LX Fox Body VC's are a little thicker than the stamped steel pieces on the 93 Cobra and 94/95 5.0 were.

Yep. These were on the car with the stock stamped-steel VC's. They still had adequate engagement - about 1/4" - with the 5/16" gaskets and stamped covers, but with the Fox covers + the 5/16" gaskets, the bolt end was flush with the gasket surface. No protrusion whatsoever. I ended up using 1" bolts and no washers. (1.25" UHL was too much. Found out the hard way.) What I probably really needed was 1.125" UHL, but no such thing.

FWIW, the ARP site lists these as:

Valve Cover Bolt Kit, Cast aluminum, SS, hex

I will check those out... thank you!

Why the frick did I have to go look on FB marketplace? I'll be damned if that ain't a clone of mine. (Mine is in better shape, however)

You're looking at the sell price, aren't you? Yeah, it's disheartening. I paid for an appraisal a few years back, and used that to get an agreed-value insurance policy on the '95. I should probably get it updated since I have the blower on there now. Of course, there's added value for that, but a slight hit in value because I cut up the fender well. Eh, with the suspension and other mods, it's already considered "mild custom" anyway.

Hey, on an unrelated note: Do you know of a good third-party utility I can use to do a disk test on my D-Link ShareCenter NAS? The built-in one just says "FAILED," and their suggestion is to reformat it. Um, no?
