Default Suspention?

I have a 97 4x4 f-150 and I cracked my torsion bars and gained like a good 2 1/2 inches now the problem is that my front end is way higher than my back end. I was woundering about just getting rear lift blocks but i want to know what it looks like in my truck. If anyone has this setup please post some pics. I was also woundering what would be the best tire size for this setup. Maby 285/75/17?

Any pictures of your truck with them cranked, it shouldn't really be way higher after cranking.. You might have done it too much which could cause alot of extra stress on the ball joints and front end

Yea, don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure your not suppose to max them out, I did alot of research on cranking them and alot of people said that about 1.5 to 2 inches should be the most.

And you can always reduce it to make the truck level instead of adding blocks, it's your call

Yea we cranked my cousin's up like 1.75 inches. It lifted it up to just about level with the back which made it look awesome. We also adjusted some suspension play out of it and it rides stiffer. He wanted it taller so we got a 3 inch lift and now it sits up pretty high and level. I imagine if you max them out it will ride really rough and like Tldx07 said, stress your ball joints harder. I recommend letting them back down and seeing if it is level. If it is and you want to be taller, then get a lift. If it's level and you like the way it looks then ride on with a hard on.

285-75-16s will fit on a bone stock 4x4. I turned mine 2 turns though and it's almost level.
