Default Subwoofer

I looked and didn't see an audio thread. So I'm sorry if i missed it. I'm wanting to put my sub back in my truck. I currently have a Boston Acoustic G1. I'm wanting to upgrade it to a new sub. Whats a good sub that wont break the bank. I'm looking for a 10inch and its going into a pro box that fits in a super crew. Also whats a good amp to pair it with. Not wanting to spend a fortune just middle of the road amp and sub. Thanks for the help.

Its honestly between little bass to my music and sound quality. If that makes sense. Not looking to add more later just a nice simple setup.

If your looking for both I have had great luck out off kicker subs I currently have 4 12's that are the 07cvr12 only rated for 400 wats rms a piece but runnin them off a rf 2500 rms amp an they've held for 2 years so if it was me a 10"Cvr an a rf prime 500.1 amp (rf = Rockford fosgate) the prime series is affordable amazon has several sellers any other questions ohm rating ect?

Should i go with a 2 or 4 OHM. Whats better the rockford amp or would a kicker be better? Also what wiring kit. Also what about the CompR. I just happen to be looking around online and saw that.

Ok Rockford still uses some old school tech which old rock fords are bad *** watched a punch150 blow a kicker l7 amps rated for 150 watts max so Rockford there but when you go to changing subs you change how big of an amp you need I normally try to go bigger than the rms rating on the sub so that you don't have to run the amp wide open to get bass it also keeps from burning them up. Now then on 2 or 4 ohm you need to decide whether or not you are going with a dual voice coil sub or single voice coil most amps provide their advertised power at 2 ohms which with a dual voic cool sub you will need a 4 ohm with both voice coils hooked to the same port so get a monoblock amp but if you go with a single voice coil you'll need a 2 ohm to reach full potential of a monoblock amp

I have two memphis 10" subs in a supercrewsound box behind my backseat. My next setup I may put in are two JL Audio Wedges. They come in 8", 10" and 12" configurations. Ill go with 2 12s, hopefully theyll fit behind the seat.

Default 2003 Ford F-150 super cab FX4

So with my 03 Super Cab I wanted to do the same. I previously had owned an 06 Scion xB and I had two 12" pioneer pro champ series subs, they were huge! And too big for a truck, so I sold them!

I ended up buying 2 12" pioneer shallow mount subs. I had never put subs in a truck before so I was a little worried on how I would go about it. I bought a custom-fit box another amp and wallah! Now I've got a sweet system in my truck!

Subs are 2 TS-SW3001S4 @ 400watts RMS each and 1500watts Peak each. My amp is a Kicker DX1000.1, it makes the subs thump!

Anyway, I just got this all done about a month ago and figured I'd shed some light, if you want pictures then I'd be more tha happy to post some!
