Subwoofer
The 500.1 Rockford would make some noise but you would probably be disapointed you'd need a 1000 watt + rms amp
Car audio all depends on how much $ you have. Yea you can get some thud with kicker, but there are way better products out there.
Your best bet if your trying to retain factory seating would be to buy a shallow mount Rockford Fosgate P3S. Its a shallow mount subwoofer that has good clear lows, and produces audible high notes.
JL Audio also has nice shallow mount subwoofer. I believe they are the TW5 models. They are great with high notes, but lack in producing low notes.
For amps, anything goes. Anything that has a good name (Fosgate, JL, Sundown, Alpine, etc.) A watt is usually a watt when tuned correctly. Always look at RMS and not peak power. RMS is continuous power vs a fake peak power. If you buy a "1000 watt amp" and it has a 60 amp fuse, something is wrong. I usually take the fuse and multiply it by 10 to give you an idea.
A box will be 90% of your entire build. If you want good low notes, such as rap or electronic music, get a ported box. If you buy a shallow mount you'll probably need it tuned between 34-38 HTz. A sealed box will give you a nice kick, and will hit, but it will not sound as clear with low notes. Ported box are for excision and sealed boxes are for short periodic kicks. If you have a tight fit, I would recommend a fiberglass box to get the most out of your woofer.
A good amp kit will be a good investment, it takes power to make power. I'll throw some info down on watts and what size gauge cable to use.
>500 watts - 8 gauge
<500 to 800 watts - 4 gauge
<800-1500 watts - 2 gauge
<1500 watts - 0 gauge
