Running a sub in 2 ohm drops the efficiency of the amp, requiring a stronger electrical system. Meaning you will have to run larger wires for power and ground. It creates a larger draw on the electrical system as well.
I'm running 2 10" Rockford fosgate shallows. 114.95 for the pair shipped. A box for under the seat of the supercrew. Like $60 shipped. And a now discontinued alpine mrp-m500 amp. I wired the subs in a 2ohm circuit and they hit plenty hard. If I "want" more or less bass I just adjust it on my head unit. Just change the preset EQ or adjust the bass boost. What's nice about the head unit is I can actually turn off my subs for when my parents ride with me which is a plus. The head is a pioneer DEH-x7500hd which I got from Crutchfield for $90 on sale. I think I payed like $150 for the amp. Any questions just ask away! That's what this place is for! Forgot to mention, head unit also charges my phone while playing music! Great feature
