Default Squeak while running

So I've gotten a squeak noise that is inconsistent with the pulley revolutions, I'd say it squeaks about 1 to every 2or 3 revolutions.

I can't pin point where it's coming from, it sounds like it's in the rear of the engine but sometimes the front. I've also tried recording it and although it's extremely loud in person I can't seem to get it on the phone recorder. Which I find really weird... tomorrow I am going to pull the serp belt off and see if it still makes the noise.

I wanted to ask, is there any part of engine besides the pulleys that could make a squeaking noise. The squeak increases with throttle and decreases with lower idle (off throttle)

Based off your description, I'm going water pump bearing.

This one had me stumped.... Thought it was a cam bearing that was spun at first.

Hmmmm you think so? Do you have any ideas on how to narrow in on which pulley it is? The water pump is working fine, coolant has also never leaked in many years. But it's also aftermarket so I wouldn't be surprised if it was bad. Sometimes the noise goes away for a few sec.

I have yet to see a modular pump leak. Either the impeller quits impelling (rusted out), or the bearings go out. Take the belt off and freehand the pulleys. Might also be the alternator, now that I'm thinking about it. Had that happen on my Expy.

Yeah I'm hoping I can figure it out tomorrow. It drives perfectly fine. So I ruled out anything mechanical (engine wise) even with the squeak I towed a toy hauler loaded on a 12 hour trip (6hrs each way) with no issues. But the noise is bugging my ocd. Lol

My sounds a little different, hard to explain. It's more like a (wee, wee , wee , wee , wee) lol with about a 1 sec pause in between each one.

(Good one, though!)

I second the suggestion to remove the belt and turn things by hand. Alt, idler pulley, tensioner, water pump... all are candidates.

I finally got around to getting one of those stethoscopes from harbor freight. That things cool man... lol. I think it's the water pump, the noise is most noticeable when I'm closer to the water pump. I'm pretty sure it's that too cuz it's out of the warranty period... so naturally it would go bad
