Default Speedometer Stopped Working

2003 Ford F150 Super Cab

Today we encountered a speedometer issue. We were driving, the speedometer went and stayed all the way to the "right" 160? When we speeded up a bit, it moved to 85 or so and went all the way back to the right when we slowed down. We drove for a bit and it started working again and continued working until we were driving home and then it went all the way to 0 and stayed there. NO codes at Auto Zone, but we did stop in at a Mechanics shop and got the following codes they got somehow?

PO232 - Fuel Pump Circuit
B1428 - Seat Belt
P0500 - Vehicle Speed Sensor
B1450 Wiper
B1318 - Low Battery
V1262 - Bus Communicatio Malfunction?
C1284 - Oil Pressure

We recently replaced the fuel pump, seat belts work fine and the no seat belt indicator lights work fine, wipers work fine, battery starts fine, oil is fine. Don't think any codes have ever been cleared though.

We really can't afford to spend a huge sum of money right now, any ideas, PLEASE?

SPEEDOMETER SHOWING 120 NOT 0, if that makes any difference?

Check out the hidden gauges thread. U can make your odometer work as a speedomoter until u get a new one. Its pretty sweet.

Put key in ignition. Hold trip reset button down. While holding down the trip reset turn key on but don't start the truck. Wait until the odometer says TEST. Release trip reset and start the truck. Use the trip reset button to cycle through the different information displays.

OK, but how do I make the odometer read out like a speedometer and stay that way until we get the speedometer fixed, please?

Follow the steps and cycle through until the odometer reads eng000.0. That's your digital speedometer. You have to repeat the steps every time you turn off your truck.
