Default Spark plug problem

Ok my truck had a misfire in cylinder two so I changed all the plugs now I am getting the code for random misfire the plugs are gaped at .52 is that right?

You gapped your plugs at a 1/2 inch?

Did you change the coils also? More than likely you just didn't get all the coils back on right and you probably have a bad one at #2 still.

Oh, OK. I would go back through and make sure all of the COP's are seated correctly, and that the springs are making good contact with the tip of the plugs.

Random misfire likely isn't due to the plug change. Look elsewhere. Follow the link I posted.

Anyone that says to look at a plug or coil doesn't understand. Disconnect your battery for a bit then connect it back up. See what you have then.

Did you reset the PCM after replacing the spark plugs?

Didnt meam to sound like a jerk, it could be. I'd drive it hard and see if it gets a certain cylinder code imstesad of the P0300.

I assume you used motorcraft plugs and replaced the boots.
