I did it gave p0300 and p0301 but the coil packs and spark plug wires were replaced not that long ago but idk they could be it when I pulled all the old spark plugs. You could tell they wore old but not that bad but the one in cylinder 2 was jet black and that is where I was just getting one code for p0302

I don't know.... it could be. Right out of the box, I'm inclined to say no. But if they had a couple thousand miles on them I'd say it's very likely. In these modular motors I don't recommend straying from Motorcraft plugs or wires.

Years ago, like 1997, a family member was told their 95 Lincoln Town Car needed a tune-up due to a misfire code. So, I went over to Autozone and bought Motorcraft plugs and Bosch wires. It ran like a champ for about a month, then the misfire came back. It was then taken to the dealer, and they said the Bosch wires were arcing. They put Motorcraft wires on it, and it's still running like a champ (doesn't even have 100,000 miles on it yet).

By the way, the plug wires for a Mustang are like 30 dollars cheaper than the F150. They are just a smidge shorter. If you're handy with rerouting things a bit differently, they work fine. I've had them on my truck for 3 years now.

I have read the same. I know Chevy guys that only run Motorcraft plugs in their SBC and BBC. Autolite makes the Motorcraft plugs. However, JBrew said the Motorcraft plugs are built at a higher standard of quality.

I have always ran autolite on my truck but the sales guy at my Autozone that I have done business with for years was not there the day I got my spark plugs so the other person brought me the bosh but I picked up a set of autolite today on my way to work I hope it fixes the problem

Get Motorcraft plugs, they are designed to Ford specs, Autolites are not.
