Default Should i sell?

2003 fx4 supercab with 105,000 miles. Everything works has new ball joints new brakes new rotors new spark plugs etc.. Runs flawless etc.. Here are my issues

Seems like if you crank torsion or use keys your gonna wear out ball joints etc an excelled amount of time faster than newer trucks

Not alot of room

Apparently the frond ends are really weak on these trucks and having a 2 year old I don't want him to be in danger if a wreck were to happen.. I hear alot of jokes about these year models being that they have a horrible crash rating etc.. Should I sell it and bump up to an 04-08?

Just get some 7700 torsion bars and you don't have to worry about them breaking. and i feel 100% safe driving my baby around in my truck.

But if you do go to an 04+ you can level it without suffering ride quality.

If you're going to move up to an 04-08 the 07-08's are the best with 04-05's being the worst

You also have to think man no truck is going to be perfect. I love our generation of trucks, and ya it has it flaws but so do all the others. Everything will have its benefits and it's flaws. Instead if spending more money on a newer truck use that money to make yours a little more secure. Like they said get the 7700 torsion bars , buy a heavy duty brush guard for the front. There are a lot of ways to make our trucks stronger

I'd keep it man. Its a solid truck. I am interested in where you would get 7700 torsion bars as well.

Supercrew's are actually safer due to the middle pillar. 03 Screw had 5stars!

The 7700 was a stronger truck. Bigger axles and basically bigger suspension to take the added wait you could tow. So I assume the 7700s torsions would be Stronger and would be harder to break
