Btw, that looks like a very inexpensive head unit. It looks to be older too. (No offense), it might be time to get a new one. You can get a similar quality one on amazon for around 50-75 bucks.

If you were closer, I have like 3 oem cd players. lol

Yeah, it looks and feels cheap lol. The sticker says '07, so it's fairly old. The sticker on the back says that the blue wire is for a remote turn on. Does anyone know if I can get it tested to see if I do need a new one before I go buy one? I'm not that technologically advanced so I'd go buy another cheap Walmart one, but it'll still run me around 75-100 after labor.

Yea, try the speaker test I mentioned. If you have an old in house speaker you can clip and use the purple wires to test it. Use the purple wire with the black line on it for the ground and the solid purple for the positive. On a speaker this is usually black and red.

This will tell you if the problem is at the head.

Blue is turn on, that is a momentary signal that tells an amp to turn on if you had one or a power antenna to activate.

If it is dead, there are a few places around me that install for free. I'm not sure if you have them where you live but we call it ABC Warehouse. I have also heard them called H.H. Greg down south a bit.

However, the wires are all color coded and as long as you match them up they will work. I think you could handle it. Just go one at a time.

Also, another option is if you have a u pull it salvage yard you can get a stock one pretty cheap. That will just plug in with out wiring and snap right in place.

We do have an H.H Gregg, but they are just an appliance store. How would the factory one just pug in if mine is wired for an aftermarket on? Or do the aftermarket ones wire to plug into the truck? There's a stock one on Craigslist right now I might go pick up lol.

As for the marker lights, I get moisture like that in everything, my headlights, tail lights, and third brake light.

I almost wouldn't doubt something like the GEM got wet, for what ever reason if it doesn't freeze but I get dew on my window, it's also on the inside, is that normal? I know I have a few issues with my windshield, the laminate is separating on one of the sides (drivers side I think?), and I got a rock chip on the passenger side, about half way up.

EDIT: Here are some pictures of the wiring. The cut wires have always been like that, no idea what they are to.

In these pics the wires coming out of your stereo go into 2 plugs. One grey and one black, those to connections snap off. Then you can fit the plugs that go into your dash into the back of a stock stereo. They will just snap right in

Here is the back of a stock stereo. You can see where those just snap in. And your radio will snap in place as well

You guys are assuming that the guy who put that radio in didn't destroy the factory harness. Doing that the guy would have saved 15 bucks but made it a pain for the next person.
I was thinking about getting a joying android quad core radio.
