The yellow wire is the constant power wire and the red is the key on wire. This is the common colors with almost all aftermarket radio heads. It is the end yellow wire on the radio side of the factory wiring plug. They must have the two wires, red and yellow, backwards. Are your programmed keys staying programmed when you shut it off? If not, then that is sure the problem, unless the tied the two wiress together, instead of giving them their own sources. It doesn't make sense, since this was supposedly put in by a reputable company franchise.

All my station buttons stay the same, I even screwed with the sub woofer and all those buttons and they stayed the same, it's just the clock is off. Maybe when I get a little time off I'll give them a call.

EDIT: Could it be that my wiring harness just never came with that feature? It's a '97 F-150 XLT. My old radio never kept the time either.
