Default Radio issues

Yesterday my radio worked fine, hop in the truck today and no radio. I checked the antenna, the threads where dirty, not dirty enough to hinder a signal in my opinion, but I still cleaned them up and they are shiny now, but still no radio.

I checked the connections to the radio, and all seem to be in line but still no connection. My radio lights up and changes stations and I can turn everything up (volume, base, treble, etc.) but nothing happens. I figured maybe my speakers are bad, I doubted that all 4 would go bad over night, but what ever. I know when I give a station a button (94.1 on button 1, 100.7 on button 2, etc.) it'll make a sound. I did that and it made the sound so I'm pretty sure my speakers are still good.

I checked my fuses both under the dash, and in the engine bay, only two had to do with the radio that I seen in my owners manual so I checked those two and they are fine, with the correct amps (I got bored a few months ago and replaced all my fuses with new ones). For giggles I changed it with another fuse of the same amp (the one under the dash is a 5A, and the one in the engine is a 15A if I remember right), and still nothing. Maybe there was something I was missing, so I took out all the fuses and relays individually and checked them with a fuse thingy (lights up green if good, yellow is questionable and no light is bad) and all are good. When I took the 15A fuse out of the engine bay, all my radio stations got lost, so I know I got the right fuse, but again still no radio.

Am I missing anything? What should I try next? This literally look place in less than 16 hours.

EDIT:
My turn signals are also acting up, only half the lights will light up on either side (I have the LED ones with a ton of bulbs in each light), but sometimes it will go back to being normal for a few clicks, and then we're back to only the top half lighting up. This is only on the drivers side though, I could not get the passenger side to do this.

Do you have a set of keys to take the radio out? If not you can pick them up at wal mart or almost any parts store.

Take the radio out and check the connections at the back. Maybe they came loose.

If you don't want to spend the money on keys to remove the radio, I used two smaller Allan wrenches to free one side at a time, worked just as well

What are they keys and wrenches for? I can take it out of the dash with a 7mm socket, then I just have to unplug everything.

I read a little more into it, some people also have issues with their turn signals and headlights, so I checked that out. headlights work, but only the top half of my LED turn signals work. When I did my hazard lights same thing, only the top half worked, but I had to fiddle with the button a bit to get the rears to work.

Usually you insert the tools into the 4 little square holes on the front, they release tabs on the sides of the radio so it can be pulled out.

Is it a factory Ford radio?

I just replaced mine from 2003 lariat. My stock FM tuner sounds better, richer, wider stereo separation than the new Pioneer . I had to get a HD to have what I considered acceptable FM stereo sound. The HD is better, clearer, wider separation , but not richer sound than stock.

But it sounds like your radio is fritzed up.

Sorry, forgot to mention it's aftermarket. According to the sticker it was made in 2007 (who knows when it was put in the truck). Is there any chance maybe my battery is on it's way out beings that my radio, turn signals / hazards are screwing up?

Well, once upon a time I was sitting in my truck playing with my stereo for about 2 hrs.

The stereo quit working. It was lit up, but wouldnt play music.
Then when I turned the headlight switch to auto, and lights came on, the doors locked...wtf?

Battery was too weak to start engine.

So yes, too low voltage can cause issues.

Just got the battery checked, it is only 2 years old and it's good.

I was out there fking with everything because I remember something about if the steering column is at the right angle your turn signals will be screwy, so I was messing with that, and no change. I put it back where it was (all the way up), put my hazards on and sat there looking at it for a few minutes wandering what else could be wrong. After a couple minutes I notice my drivers side turn signal would be normal for a couple blinks, then back to only the top half. It did that a few times, but the passenger side never did it, and the radio never cut in. Does that give anyone any ideas?

At this point I don't know if I need to figure out how to fix the turn signals first to drive it to a shop to fix the radio, or fix the radio first so I have some music while I try to fix the turn signal issue (too young for beer) lol.

EDIT:
It's not just the radio signals, I put a CD in for giggles and of course that does not work, neither does the aux port.

Sounds like you can buy new radio, or take to repair shop. Having electron things repaired today isnt usually feasible.
