No offense man but Im glad you got popped for that. Tint that dark is just foolish, why would you want to make yourself less visable to other drivers? You still need to see your tail lights during the day, not just at night.

yea i understand totally but i never had a problem with it before. i was on my way home from a music festival and there are a lot of drunk drivers so there was a sting on the high way. im guessing that he just needed a reason to pull me over just to make sure i wasnt drinking.

I've supprisenly have not been pulled over in my truck yet lmao How idk ive past cops doing like 20-30 over the speed limit and nothing haha.

But when i had my jeep on the other hand a statey pulled me over because he thought i was drunk but i was just avoiding the pot holes and all he got me was for my window tint had 10 days to rip it out and a warning. Then got pulled over with it from a town cop for blue marker light bulbs but he just let me go had to put the stock ones back in haha.

I have my taillights fully blacked out except for white area near back up light. Been pulled over by dps, didn't say anything about it. I also have a bully light bar under my tailgate hooked to the trailer light output. So getting a simaler light bar might be the key to sucsess

I've always thought that too.. For the longest time I had my tails tinted.. Never got pulled over, didn't pass inspection a few times though, but I also have an LED bar. It acts as another taillight, so I think that helped with not getting pulled over because of my tails. Not to mention safety haha

I love reading threads where people are angry about being pulled over and/or ticketed for mods they have done that they knew were illegal when they did them.
This is a safety issue - especially in the daytime where the illuminated lights are not seen as easily as they are in the dark. You need to realize you have it backwards. They would be easier to see during the night as glowing things tend to stand out better in the dark than in the sunlight.
Like you said, it very well could have been just to see if you were drunk, but you opened that door for them the day you decided to black your tail lights out.
I've seen a lot of blacked out tail lights, yours are definitely on the extreme side.

No I do auto painting. I mixed a small amount of Crystal Black with PPG Ultimate Clear and sprayed them using a HVLP.
