I would definitely be weary. V10 have the same issue of blowing out spark plugs just like the v8. Also I always hook up a cheap obd scanner to anything I buy and make sure no ones cleared the codes or monitors before showing. ME the car.

Mainly the price is what's creeping me out. Seems way to low, almost like he's trying to off the thing because there's something wrong with it! Hopefully there isn't tho hopefully it's a good truck!!! If it is that's a steal!

Yeah, I've kinda been eyeing this truck since it was first posted less than 2 weeks ago at 4500, then to 3500, now at 2200. I think he really needs the money. I don't have a reader and auto parts stores only hook a machine up if the check engine light is on. I'm no mechanic by any means, but I'll just have to check it out. I'm just going to try and flip it, most likely anyways. Thanks for your feedback

Around here in cali, a basic code reader goes for about $20. But yeah. Def sounds like he's trying to off it. Good luck!

I'd get the VIN number and run it through carfax and The NICB database to see if it's been reported stolen.

Spend the money to run a carfax and buy a code reader. Spending $40 now may save you thousands later.

Or take it to parts store. They should hook up if they ask them.

He's either lowering the price because people are biting then finding out it has major issues and walk away. Or it's stolen (I've ran into that before).

I'd be iffy on buying it. Doesn't hurt to look tho. If it runs good, drives straight and the person seems like a good chap - go for it.
