Default Off-road recovery

What is a good recovery device for a stuck vehicle. Chains are not an option. Basically should I go with a old school strap or a new kinetic rope like a bubba rope.

Recovery device or strap? Are we talking about you recovering someone else, someone recovering you, or you recovering yourself?

I think I recall @Ricktwuhk mentioning a ****** strap... basically some kind of strap that has some give and stretch to it. Let's wait to hear what he says.

Bubba Rope all day long. I have countless snatches with mine. Most of the vehicles have been heavier than my truck too.

Plus you don't break either of each others neck. Much easier on truck and human body than a tow strap. The stretch is key.

Yep, I yanked a Ram 3500 mega cab out of a ditch and if it wasn't for the stretch of the rope I would have kissed the steering wheel.
